RoboPack
Today, farmers use precision agriculture to improve crop production and livestock management to ensure a future of sustainable food production. At NC State University, the agricultural robotics student design teams are sharpening their precision design skills to prepare for the future.
RoboPack is a competition team that participates in the annual Student Design Robotics Competition hosted by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. For the competition, the teams build an autonomous robot that performs an agricultural task. Past tasks include mapping and harvesting cotton from a simulated cotton field, mapping and pruning a strawberry field, and collecting eggs and categorizing them as good or bad.
