Bill Hunt Receives Distinguished Visiting Fellowship
William Neal Reynolds Distinguished University Professor and Extension Specialist Bill Hunt was received a Distinguished Visiting Fellowship from the Royal Academy of Engineering in the United Kingdom.
The Distinguished Visiting Fellowships program is a prestigious honor which enables an engineering institution in a UK university to host visits from world leading internationally-based researchers from an overseas academic center for visits lasting up to one month.The program aims to help UK universities to build capacity and promote collaborations by facilitating visits by distinguished international experts.
Examples of fellow activities include:
- Working collaboratively on joint papers and research proposals to tackle ambitious research problems or challenges, both within the host department and also through the involvement of other UK universities and UK industries
- Delivering lectures, presentations, seminars, demonstrations, and expert workshops to graduates, undergraduates, members of the host faculty, and academics from other UK institutions
- Guiding the design and delivery of new teaching modules or programs
- Establishing project consortia to work collaboratively on ambitious joint research projects
