AET Graduate Featured in ASABE Magazine
Joe Wright, a 2008 graduate of the NC State BAE Agriculture and Environmental Technology (AET) Program, was featured in the September/October Special Issue of EXPLORE. This magazine is published by the American Society of Agricultural Engineers and distributed widely to all ASABE members, student members, libraries and institutions.
Wright is the founder and owner of Wright Contracting, LLC., which he started in 2008 and has now grown into two divisions: environmental restoration and heavy construction.
In the article, Wright talks about his path to the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering and how a CALS advisor suggested AET might be the program for him.
“The AET program prepares you to be the middleman between engineers and end users. If you’re technical enough to be an engineer, and you have enough common sense to explain a process to the person who is going to use it, sell it, and make people believe in it, then AET is the degree for you,” Wright told EXPLORE.
